Brett Farmiloe, founder and CEO of Featured, joined Andrew Allemann on the Domain Name Wire Podcast in August 2023 to explain why the company that started as Terkel on terkel.io acquired the Featured.com domain and rebranded, and what the premium domain was expected to do for credibility with publishers.

## Key takeaways

- Featured began life as Terkel on the domain terkel.io. Farmiloe had approached the owner of featured.com before starting the business and couldn't afford it at the time.
- The domain held the company back on credibility with publishers, even as the business succeeded.
- In 2023 Farmiloe acquired featured.com and rebranded the company as Featured. Two years later he returned to the show (episode 539) to report on how the rebrand paid off and to discuss the HARO acquisition.

> “The opportunity to transition from Terkel.io to Featured.com was a tremendous upgrade for us.”
