Featured Launches A Free Newsjacking Tool That Lets PR Agencies Run Reactive PR For Every Client

Press release

One workflow per client. As often as every 15 minutes, Featured flags breaking stories with a suggested angle and the reporters and HARO requests to pitch.

Highlights

  • Most PR teams run newsjacking today with a patchwork of Google Alerts, a spreadsheet of reporters, and a separate check of the HARO inbox. Featured Newsjacking replaces that patchwork with a single workflow that combines news monitoring, angle suggestions, and media targeting, so the time between a story breaking and a pitch landing shrinks from hours to minutes.
  • 1. Set up the workflow. Users log in to Featured.com, choose "Add new workflow," and select Newsjacking. They enter who the workflow is for, that person's areas of expertise, keywords to monitor, off-limits topics, and the countries, cities, and language to track.
  • 2. Choose where alerts go. Users pick Slack or email delivery and a daily, weekly, or custom schedule, as often as every 15 minutes.
  • 3. Receive stories with angles. When news breaks on a tracked keyword, Featured sends each relevant story as a card with a suggested angle, a "Why" that explains the fit, and "Supporting coverage" that lists the other outlets reporting it.
  • 4. Find who to pitch. Clicking "Find newsjacking opportunities" surfaces journalists on that beat, open HARO requests, bylined-article opportunities, podcasts, and speaking opportunities, and drafts a pitch with the story and angle in place. Featured never contacts journalists on a user's behalf.
  • Newsjacking has always been a speed game, and most PR teams lose it on logistics. By the time someone has read the story and built a media list, the reporter has filed. That gets harder with every client an agency adds. Featured Newsjacking does the watching and the matching for each client, so the team's time goes into saying something worth quoting.
  • Featured is the AI co-pilot for PR, a platform that helps PR professionals and subject-matter experts land media placements, build brand authority, and grow AI visibility through journalist requests, newsjacking, podcasts, and bylines. The company owns and operates HARO (Help a Reporter Out) and Connectively as standalone products within its portfolio. Learn more at featured.com.
