Featured Workflow Usage Report — September 2026

Research

How people are using Featured's automated workflows to find press opportunities — workflow activity, run outcomes, and connection type pulled straight from the database.

Findings

  • Runs are steady and mostly on autopilot: the vast majority start on a schedule rather than an event.
  • Separately, the database currently shows 7 runs as "running" — all started before June 26 and never finished or were marked done.
  • Share of all 26,239 successful runs by workflow type. The All-in-One workflow combines Journalist Requests, Monitor HARO, Find Podcasts, Find Journalists, Bylined Articles, Awards, and Speaking Opportunities into a single workflow.
  • Runs are counted from the first workflow run on June 16, 2026. Anonymous accounts cannot create workflows, so every workflow run is associated with a registered user.
  • Google is the default connection by a wide margin. Slack is used by one team member per workspace, not broad team-wide rollout.
  • Percentages are calculated on 467 workflows created.
  • Read-only queries against production, run on September 21, 2026. Not a survey — every figure describes actual usage.
  • 26,333 runs are marked completed; 94 of those stopped early after hitting a usage limit and are not counted as successful, leaving 26,239.
  • Percentages are rounded to the nearest whole number and may not sum exactly. Figures reflect a single point in time and will move.
