It was a cool experience visiting his office in Connecticut, where we chatted for about fifteen minutes. James voiced his frustration with how people constantly want to pass off their own or others' writing to him given his platform, which I completely understood as a major imposition and quite annoying. He mentioned that a lot of the stuff that he did review should be put in a drawer and never see the light of day.
